TUESDAY, May 17, PORTLAND -- Maritime Commerce Club, Columbia River Annual Tug & Barge Update at the Doubletree Hotel -- Lloyd Center. Networking begins at 11:30, with lunch served at noon. Guest speakers will be discussing issues concerning shipping and commerce along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. Cost for club members is $35, non-members $50. Cost is $15 donation at the door. Honoree is Maritime Person of the Year - Geoff Simpson, Firefighter, Local 1747 of Kent, Washington and Former State Legislator, House Transportation.
